Pearson are the world’s learning company and the UK’s largest awarding organization with an international heritage stretching back over 150 years.

Today, they partner with schools, universities and employers worldwide, offering world-class, globally recognized qualifications to over 3.4 million students a year.

The Edexcel curriculum is globally recognized by more than 160 countries as a high quality, modern world curriculum with a proven heritage, and is the UK’s largest awarding organization. Their qualifications and resources are designed to help 3- to 19-year-olds progress through school to further education, employment and university.

The Ivy School is proud to be an approved Edexcel Centre as it ensures that our students have the reliability and convenience of sitting their qualifications at their own school without the added pressure of having to travel and complete them as independent candidates elsewhere.

Edexcel Curriculum School

The Pearson Edexcel Primary curriculum is an international curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and Computing for 3 to 11 year olds. The Pearson Edexcel iLower Secondary is the continuation of that curriculum for 11 to 14 year olds. Together these curricula provide a complete programme from ages 3–14 and are excellent preparation for progression to International GCSE (IG) and International Advanced Level (IAL).

Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) is a globally recognized qualification for international learners aged 14-16, and Pearson Edexcel International A level (IAL) is the next step qualification for international learners aged 16-19. They’re both part of progress, the complete series of Pearson academic qualifications and resources for 5- to 19-year-olds, for international schools. They deliver a consistent learning journey, with world class support services, for students and teachers, everywhere in the world.

Pearson Edexcel International AS/A Levels (IAL) are globally recognized qualifications which open doors to top universities worldwide. Available for 21 subjects, they have a modular structure, yet remain comparable to GCE AS/A levels, as confirmed by NARIC, the national agency responsible for providing information and expert opinion on qualifications and skills worldwide.
